On this trip you will visit Everest Base Camp from the north face of Mt. Everest. Highlight of the trip are glaciers, ancient monasteries, holy lakes, rare wild animals, big mountain ranges, lovely traditional villages enroute to Lhasa.

Day 01: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (137km, 7 hours Drive)

Day 02: Syabrubesi to Kyirong (40km - 4/5hours Drive) (B)

Day 03: Kyirong to Everest Base Camp / Tingri (480km, 11 hours Drive) (B)

Day 04: Tingri to Shigatse (280km, 7 hours Drive) (B)

Day 05: Shigatse to Lhasa via Gyantse (375km) (B)

Day 01: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (137km - 7 hour drive)

Leave leisurely your hotel to Syabrubeshi in the morning. We provide nice transport for your transfer.  The drive to beautiful through the villages of Nepal foothill, stop at Trishuli for lunch and then reach to Syabrubeshi. Stay overnight at Guest House.

Day 02: Syabrubesi to Kyirong (40km, 4/5hour drive) (B)

From Syabrubeshi drive further 15 km to Kerung/Kyrong boarder, while it takes sometime here for formality, you then drive further 1 hour on the Tibetan side of Kyirong that lies on 2800m with your Tibetan guide assigned from Lhasa. After checked in you may walk to visit Paba Temple (2850m), a Gelugpa temple built by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo at the request of his beloved Nepali wife who actually was princess Bhrikuti. The Nepalese style temple with delicate murals is only within minutes walk from your hotel.Stay overnight in Kyirong Hotel.

Day 03: Kyirong to Everest Base Camp to Tingri (480km, 11hour drive) (B)

After breakfast drive to Everest Base camp passing through Peikutso lake. You will visit world's highest Rongbuk Monastery at Rongbuk. Through out the trip you may have excellent views of great landscape and plendid Himalaya Mountain Range from Gyawula Pass (5200m). After visiting Everest Base Camp, you will drive to Tingri. Stay overnight in Tingri Hotel.

Day 04: Tingri to Shigatse (280km, 7 hour drive) (B)

Today's drive is from Tingri to Shigatse.  When you arrive at Shigatse in early afternoon you will have time to visit the seat of Panchen Lama at Tashilunpo Monastery, one of the most important monasteries in whole Tibet. Overnight at Shigatse hotel.

Day 05: Shigatse to Lhasa via Gyantse (375km - 8 hours drive) (B)

After breakfast we will drive to Lhasa via Gyantse. On the way you can see many Tibetan farmer villages. After arriving in Gyantse, you will visit Heritage town Gyantse old street and Perklor Monastery, Kumbum stupa. Then you will also visit Manak Dam Lake, Korola Glacier and Yamdrok Lake on the way to Lhasa. Overnight in Lhasa Hotel.

Day 06: Lhasa Tour - Potala Palace, Johkang Temple, and Barkhor Street (B)

Today's tour will first bring you to the Potala Palace. Potala Palace was built in 1645 and completed in 1693. It dominates the landscape in Lhasa. The palace is the former winter residence of the Dalai Lama. It used to be the official residence of 13 Dalai Lamas. The magnificent building has over 1000 rooms. Inside there are many chambers; you can see brilliant frescoes paintings and great view of Lhasa.

Next visit after lunch is Jokhang Temple that has valuable relics of Buddha and magnificent statues related to Tibet Buddhism. Often you come across devotees, who have come from far flung of Tibet, prostrating in and around. The sight of pilgrims prostrating themselves in front of Jhokang must be seen to be comprehended. This is something you can never see elsewhere. Jokhang temple in Lhasa is the spiritual center of Tibet where in the summer nomads meet other pilgrims on their way to the high pasture.

You then visit to the Barkhor Bazaar outside the Jokhang monastery. This is the bustling flea market where you can buy souvenirs and meet other tourists. Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 07: Visit Drepung and Sera Monastery (B) 

In the morning visit Drepung monastery which is the largest monastery in the world and once housed 10,000 monks and nuns. It was built in 1416, and the second, third and fourth Dalai Lamas lived here and were entombed. A visit to the kitchen of this monastery is a must. Look out for the washing machine in which the monks mix their butter tea.

In the Afternoon you will visit Sera Monastery which is another one of the “great three” Gelug university monasteries of Tibet. The hot attraction would be to see is the Monks debate which happens around 3 - 5 in the afternoon. Beside these you can visit the Tibetan religious scripture printing house, inside the monastery, see three sand Mandalas and colorful Rock Painting of Buddha. It is very impressive and  well preserved monastery that has white-washed walls and golden roofs. Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 08: Depart from Lhasa (B)

Your guide will transfer you to the airport or train station and help you get on board.
