Reason to visit Rajasthan
Rajasthan is a very popular tourists destination in India. It is a treasure house of monuments that reflects its past glories. It has forts, palaces, garden and beautiful architecture. Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan, known as pink city, is the favourite one. The Maharaja Ram Singh of Jaipur painted the city pink. This was his welcome gesture and hospitality to the Prince of Wales and Queen Victoria in 1876.

While in Jaipur don’t miss to visit City Palaces. It is the heritage center of Jaipur. There are many interesting things to see in this large complex - palaces. There are unique building (Chandra Mahal), courtyard, garden and temples inside the complex. Hawa Mahal (Palace of wind) is another popular happening tourist site. The Mahaaraja built the mahal (building) for the entertainment of royal ladies. So they can see everyday life of people from a distance. Hawa Mahal has 953 small windows built in bee hive structure. The breeze blows through the windows to keep the palace cool. If you are eager to see tiger visit Ranthambore National Park (180 km from Jaipur). Visit Amber Fort built on the hill top of a massive citadel. It is fun and enjoyable to ride on the elephant back to the entrance courtyard of the fort. Jaipur is famous its fabulous collection of jewelry. It has precious stones, gems, semi-precious stones, and jewelry of all kind.

The other interesting city is Jodhpur. It is called Blue City in Rajasthan - it is also known as Sun City. There are many impressive building in Jodhpur. Most of them are now turned into some of the finest luxury hotels in India. Meharangarh fort is one of the most impressive fort in the city. It has a memorial built in pure white marble in the memory of Jaswant Thada. This used to be crematorium of royal family. Another interesting building is Umaid Bhawan Palace. It resemblance Taj Mahal but in coloured sandstone.

Udaipur, in the southern part of Rajasthan, is White City of Rajasthan. It has a very different aspect that shows unique life styles of the royals of bygone eras. The narrow corridors, garden, lakes and its palaces are worth seeing. Of all the palaces some are now museum; the Lake Palace is luxury hotel. The enchanting lake, amidst lush hill of Aravalis on the bank of Lake Pichola makes it a most romantic city in India.

Jaisalmer is Golden City. It is about 575 kilometers from Jaipur. In the olden days this city was popular due to the old caravan route. The caravan route passes through the city to the famous Khyber Pass which rises from a sea of sand. The high crenellated walls and medieval sandstone-fort are amazing. The wall sheltered carved spires and palaces. Elaborate carved mansions made from local golden coloured stone are beautiful sight. The market and sand dunes in Jaisalmer are popular with visitors. The city has not changed since its early days in 13th century. A large number of people still live within the original wall built to protect the city.

Take your time to visit Pushkar - 151 km from Jaipur. The city is center for best and the biggest multi day cattle fare. It is also known as camel fare. The cattle market happens every November. You will find the cattle market very interesting and mind boggling. While in Pushkar take camel ride in the desert sand dunes or take short hike. There are many temples and lakes you can visit.

Agra is very close to Delhi (200 km / 7-hour drive). Taj Mahal, in Agra, is one of the wonder of the world. Taj Mahal is a wonderful art ever created by human being. It is a beautiful mausoleum made of exquisite marble structure. Moreover the story and history behind the creation of this monument in itself is sublime. Taj Mahal took 17 years to complete (1631 to 1648). The other nearby world heritage sites is Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri.

Rajasthan, the land of the Kings, in India at its exotic and colourful beat. It is the home of the Rajputs, a group of warrior clans who have controlled this part of India for 1000 years. The land itself is somewhat dry and , in parts, inhospitable. You will be visiting some of the historical cities, incredible fortresses awash with legends, and rare rems of impressionistic beauty, such as Udaipur, pink city Jaipur and Pushkar with its holy lake, and the exotic desert city of Jaisalmer. The place is famous for its delightful palace hotels and toursits bungalows for like wise travelers.
Day 01: DELHI
On arrival at Indira Gandhi International airport, meet & greet by our representative & get transfer to the hotel for check-in. Overnight stay at the hotel.

New Delhi: The capital and the third largest city of India is a fusion of the ancient and the modern era. Standing along the west End of Gangetic Plain, the capital city, Delhi unwinds with culture, architecture and human diversity, deep in history, monuments, museums, galleries, gardens and exotic shows. Comprising of two contrasting yet harmonious parts, the Old Delhi and New Delhi, the city is a travel hub of Northern India. Delhi is a palimpsest, bearing the complexities, the contradictions, the beauty and the dynamism of a city where the past coexists with the present. Many dynasties ruled from here and the city is rich in the architecture of its monuments. Diverse cultural elements absorbed into the daily life of the city, have enriched its character.

Day 02: DELHI
After breakfast proceed for full day city tour of old & New Delhi. You will make a visit to Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, Lotus Temple, Laxmi Narayan temple, QutubMinar, Himayun Tomb. Drive past President house, India Gate and Connaught place shopping centre. Return to the hotel after sightseeing tour for overnight stay.

Day 03: DELHI – MANDAWA
After breakfast at hotel drive (05 hrsapprox) to Mandawa, arrive & check-in to the hotel. Rest of the day visit Havelis in and around Mandawa. Overnight at hotel.

Mandawa: Founded in the mid 18th century Mandawa skyline today is dominated by an imposing fort, now a heritage hotel that is maintained in classic medieval style with modern luxuries. The archway is painted with interesting forms of Lord Krishna and his cowherds. The sprawling architecture houses different themes in different wings. Mandawa is famous for its Havelis (mansion) built by rich merchants of the region, display a unique architectural style. The Havelis, painted predominantly in blue, maroon, yellow, green and indigo have beautiful wall paintings that adorn their walls.

Day 04: MANDAWA – BIKANER
After breakfast at hotel drive (05 hrsapprox) to Bikaner, arrive & check-in to the hotel. Afternoon visit Junagarh (an unassailable fortress, which had never been conquered), Lallgarh Palace (an architectural masterpiece in red sandstone).Overnight at hotel.

Bikaner: Lying in the north of the desert State, the city is dotted with scores of sand dunes. Bikaner retains the medieval grandeur that permeates the city’s lifestyle. More readily called the camel country, the city is distinguished for the best riding camels in the world and hence boasts of having one of the largest Camel Research and Breeding farms in the world. The ship of the desert is an inseparable part of life here. A camel besides being a mode of transport, also works on wells. These are built on high plinths with slender minarets on each of the four corners and can be noticed even from a distance.

Day 05: BIKANER - JAISALMER
After breakfast at hotel drive (07 hrsapprox) to Jaisalmer, arrive & check-in to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Jaisalmer: The name Jaisalmer evokes utter magic and vibrancy of the desert. It’s straight out of an Arabian Nights fable. The hostile terrain notwithstanding the warmth and color of people is simply overwhelming. One of the main draws is the daunting 12th century Jaisalmer Fort. The beautiful havelis which were built by wealthy merchants of Jaisalmer are yet another interesting aspect of the desert city. And you can let your eyes caress the sloping sand dunes while you ramble your way in a camel safari. The desert citadel is truly a golden fantasy in the Thar Desert. Bhati Rajput ruler RawalJaisal, after whom the city finds its name, founded Jaisalmer in 1156 AD.

Day 06: JAISALMER
After breakfast at hotel proceed for half day city tour of Jaisalmer, includes visit to Jaisalmer Fort, known as Sonar Quila or the Golden fort, rises from the sand and merges with the golden hues of the desert ambience, also visit Government Museum, another prime attraction for the visitors to Jaisalmer.

Afternoon enjoy Camel ride at Khuri. Khuri is renowned for its sand dunes, the waves of golden sand. The JodhaRajputs live here and even today you can see the stamp of Rajput culture in them. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07: JAISALMER – JODHPUR
After breakfast at hotel leave (06 hrsapprox drive) for Jodhpur en-route visit Osian, the ancient town of the Thar Desert was a great trading center between 8th to 12th centuries AD. Today it is a desert oasis with 16 Brahamanical and Jain temples. These are beautifully sculpted and designed, and most of them have stood the ravages of time.

Arrival Jodhpur & check-in to hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 08: JODHPUR
Today leave for half day city tour of Jodhpur includes visit to Meharangarh Fort, one of the largest forts in India, situated 410 feet above the city and built by RaoJodha around 1460. You will visit beautifully crafted and decorated palaces including MotiMahal (Pearl Palace), Phool Palace (Flower Palace) and SheeshaMahal (Mirror Palace).

Then you will move to visit JaswantThada, an imposing Marble Memorium built in 1899 By Maharaja Sardar Singh in memory of his father Maharaja Jaswant Singh.

Also visit the UmaidBhawan Palace, one of the world’s largest private residences divided in to three functional parts – a Luxury hotel, Royal family’s residence and a Museum.Afternoon at leisure.Overnight stay.

Day 09: JODHPUR – UDAIPUR
In the morning drive to Udaipur (06 hrsapprox drive) en-route visit Ranakpur, beautifully sculptured Jain temples mark the glory of this renowned place. Considered as one of the five holy places for the Jain community, these were created in the 15th century during the reign of RanaKumbha. These are enclosed within a wall. The central Chaumukha [four faced temple] is dedicated to Adinathji. The temple is an astounding creation of architectural splendor with 29 halls and 1,444 pillars all distinctly carved, no two pillars being alike. Every hall of temple has inconceivable surface carved with equal delicacy.

Udaipur: MaharanaUdai Singh founded Udaipur in 1559 AD. According to a legend Udai Singh was guided by a holy man meditating on the hill near Pichola Lake to establish his capital on that very spot. Surrounded by Aravali Ranges, forests and lakes this place was less vulnerable to external invasion than Chittaurgarh.

Udaipur is often called ‘Venice of the East’. It is also the ‘city of lakes’. The Lake Palace (Jag Niwas) located in the middle of Pichola Lake is the finest example of architectural and cultural marvel. The grand City Palace on the banks of the lake along with the Monsoon Palace (SajjanGarh) on the hill above enhances the beauty of this magnificent city. Udaipur is also the centre for performing arts, crafts and its famed miniature paintings.

Day 10: UDAIPUR
After breakfast at hotel half day city tour includes visit to the city palace, a majestic architectural marvel that is perched on a hill and towers over Lake Pichola. The Palace is a majestic conglomeration of courtyards, pavilions, terraces, corridors, rooms and hanging gardens. Visit Jagdish temple, drive around Fatehsagar Lake, Sahelion ki bari (Queen’s Resort For Her Friends), the “Ladies Garden”, with its rich foliage and intricately designed fountains. And Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (Folk Art Museum) which has an interesting collection of Indian folk art including costumes, ornaments, puppets, masks, dolls, musical instruments and deities. Overnights at hotel.

Day 11: UDAIPUR – PUSHKAR
After breakfast at hotel you will be driven (07 hrsapprox) to Pushkar and check-in to the hotel.

You will visit Pushkarlake, Brahma Temple etc. with chauffeur. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12: PUSHKAR– JAIPUR
After breakfast at hotel you will be driven (04 hrsapprox) to Jaipur and check-in to the hotel.

Jaipur: The city that once had been the capital of the royalty, now serves as the capital city of Rajasthan. The very structure of Jaipur resembles the taste of the Rajputs and the Royal family. In the present date, Jaipur is the major business centre for the natives of Rajasthan with all requisites of a metropolitan city. The city of Jaipur, painted in pink, grasp the appreciation of every visitor. One can see that hoary charm still alive in the avenues of Jaipur. Jaipur is the reservoir of Indian customs, traditions, civilization and legacy.

Day 13: JAIPUR
After breakfast at hotel move out to visit Amber fort, usually pronounced as Amer Fort. In 1592, construction of the Fort was started by Raja Man Singh I. However, the Amber Fort took its present form during the reign of Raja Jai Singh I. An elephant will spare you the trouble of reaching up to the fortress. Once on top, stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls.

In the afternoon visit the city palace (A delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture), HawaMahal (Palace of Winds), JantarMantar (consisting of outsized astronomical instruments).

You will be dropped back to the hotel after sightseeing for overnight stay.

Day 14: JAIPUR –FATEHPUR SIKRI – AGRA
After breakfast at hotel drive for Agra en-route visit FatehpurSikri, check-in to hotel.

Afternoon move out for the sightseeing tour of the magnificent TajMahal and Agra Fort.

TajMahal – “the epitome of love” and “a monument of immeasurable beauty”. The beauty of this magnificent monument is such that it is beyond the scope of words. The thoughts that come into the mind while watching the TajMahal is not just its phenomenal beauty, but the immense love which was the reason behind its construction. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan got this monument constructed in the memory of his beloved wife MumtazMahal, with whom he fell in love at the first sight. The very first sight of the TajMahal, the epitome of love and romance leaves one mesmerized.

Agra Fort – a UNESCO World Heritage site and also known as Red Fort, founded by the famous Mughal emperor Akbar in 1565 AD, is predominantly of red sandstone. Ensconced within is the picture perfect Pearl Mosque, which is a major tourist attraction. It lies on the bend of the river Yamuna, almost in the heart of the town. Akbar built it as his citadel over the years 1563-73 in the finest architectural style. It has imposing gates and walls of red sandstone and a moat. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 15: AGRA – DELHI
Breakfast at hotel. Check-out at 1200 hrs. In time get transfer to airport to board on flight for onwards destination.
