I choose Kailash Himalaya Trek because I had three good experiences before. Since 2005 I cooperate with Kailash Himalaya Trek - under the management of director Mr. Santa Subba - for tours of the Royal Dutch Climbing & Mountaineering Club.
2005: Khumbu Everest Traverse with Kala Patar and Gokyo-Ri
2008: Kangchenjunga Trek to north and south basecamp
2010: Dhaulagiri Trek from Beni to Marpha
2012: Inner Dolpo Trek with Shey Phoksundo National Park
During all these tours Mr. Kitap Tamang was our guide. His calmness, kindness, organizational skills, loyalty and strength are unique. He is a nice and professional guide. I can recommend Kailash Himalaya Trek to anyone for all kind of treks in the Himalaya.
I want to come back to Nepal in 2013 to visit the Manaslu and Ganesh Himal region.
For that trek I will cooperate again with Kailash Himalaya Trek.
Kind regards,

Dear Santa
I wish to express my gratitude to you and your team once again for perfectly organizing our successful 2015 fall expedition to Putha Hiunchuli (7,246 m). In particular my thanks go to Renzen Bothe for his strong and unselfish support from base camp to summit, to Sarbajit Tamang for his incredible creations in the kitchen tent (particularly the Swiss Rösti) and to Ranee Tamang for his distinguished way of serving us in all aspects.
I think that Kailash HIMALAYA Treks embodies the way climbers and trekkers from all around the world wish to be assisted in the Nepal of the future. I trust that you will remain one of those outstanding companies.
All the best!

Dear potential trekkers,
My partner and I signed up for a short ( 6 days – adventure – hiking to Gosaikunda Lake) in Nepal. Overall, it was a very memorable experience full of pleasant memories. The pre-trip organization was excellent, thank you very much Ramesh for all the support; and this was coupled with a great hike guided by Pancha and Khiru through beautiful and picturesque sceneries. I highly recommend Kailash Himalayas Trekking to everyone who is looking to spend a good time in Nepal with a high quality service provider.

In November 2018 I cooperated for the ninth time with Kailash Himalaya Trek. Now we made a tent trek through the Tsum Valley. An authentic area that is still hardly affected by outsiders. In that area we saw marvellous remote and wild mountain landscapes with high snowy mountain peaks. On our route we visited some old Buddhist monasteries and villages. At the end of the valley we camped near Mu Ghompa monastery at 3700m. We got the idea to go back in time for centuries.
I choose for Kailash Himalaya Trek because I had eight good experiences before. Since 2005 I cooperate with Kailash Himalaya Trek, most times for tours of the Royal Dutch Climbing & Mountaineering Club, and sometimes private with friends.
Tours for the Royal Dutch Climbing & Mountaineering Club:
2005: Khumbu Everest Traverse with Kala Patar and Gokyo-Ri
2008: Kangchenjunga Trek to north and south basecamp
2010: Dhaulagiri Base Camp Trek from Beni to Marpha
2012: Inner Dolpo Trek with Shey Phoksundo National Park
2013: Manaslu Circuit
2014: Mustang Trek to Lo Manthang
2015: Annapurna Circuit
Private tours with friends:
2017: Limi Valley Trek – NW Nepal
2018: Tsum Valley Trek
During all these tours Mr. Kitap Tamang was our guide. His calmness, kindness, organizational skills, loyalty and strength are unique. He is a nice and professional guide.
He and his assistants take care of us under all circumstances and they guided us very well on high, remote and impressive routes. All our equipment was transported by porters. At all our treks the cook and his kitchen boys prepared very good and tasty meals and give us all services we need. Thanks the efforts of the KHT staff we had very fine and save trekkings in wonderful areas.
I can recommend Kailash Himalaya Trek to anyone for all kind of treks in the Himalaya.

Great Tour Operator
Nov 2023 •
Ardash, Kittap and their team were in charge of the Nepalese leg of our tour. They did and amazing job everything ran smoothly and without a hitch. From boutique hotels to the teahouses in the mountains we received the best service al always with a smile!
I would highly recommend this company to organise your Himalayan travels. They have great connections and fabulous local knowledge which is what is needed by a tour company.
A special mention to our porters...Ranee, Nimraj, Sumen and the rest of the team! They are bloody amazing!! They couldn't do enough to help us and make our journey a success.
Nepal has been Epic! And they helped make it so. - Paddy

Makalu Basecamp trek
Oct 2019: This year we made our choice for the Makalu-trek. A beautiful of the beaten trek, with reasonable lodges up till basecamp since a few years. The last time I did this trek is 23 years ago. In those days, there were no lodges after Tashigaon.
Manager Ramesh from Kailash Himalaya Trek proposed to take guide Bhim Bahadur Magar with us.
We are so happy to say that Bhim was really a fantastic guide. His guiding was very professional and so helpful. Not only for us but also fort he porters, in the lodges and in the kitchen. His social behaviour with the locals is great and he is a good cook!
Thanks again Santa. Everything was well organised as always.Tom - Franken and Peter Schampers, Holland

Excellent Organiser that led to wonderful trip
Went with Kailash Himalaya Trek for a family trip (including 6 and 11 yr old kids) to Upper Mustang. Organised a jeep, along with a English + Hindi speaking Guide and Driver that made the whole journey over five days very memorable.
The entire trip, starting from Jomsom and back was very well managed and we covered the upper Mustang region upto Lo-Manthang and Muktinath while returning. Stayed in small villages throughout and we were provided good facilities given the conditions and the altitude. They ensured we did not have a problem with food even though we are pure vegetarian.
No words can describe how beautiful the landscape and the scenery was. Special call out to our driver Hikmatji who drove very safely on that terrain. A special call out to our guide Bholaji who made sure we kept good time and handled the kids very nicely as well. The two of them made the whole journey very memorable. Also, this would surely not have been possible without all the planning and co-ordination with Rameshji from Kailash Himalaya Trek.
Once again, we all loved the whole experience and this is surely something that will stay with us for a lifetime. –Vinod Bhatt

Excellent service and value for money
Dec 2018 • Solo
I booked the Poon hill circuit with Kailash after recommendations from friends. I wasn’t disappointed. They were really flexibile with dates (even when I kept making changes) and communicated quickly and efficiently before I arrived in Nepal. Gopal was my guide and he was brilliant- knowledgeable and also was happy to be flexible with the itinerary if I wanted to walk further some days. He was also very reliable and that’s important to have when you are trekking for a few days and by yourself.I didn’t compare prices to other companies but I felt it was really good value because all food and hot drinks were included (and those hot drinks were needed)!!!Definitely recommend! –Tory C

Great Trek & Great Company
Sep 2018 • I have been fortunate to have travelled to Nepal many times (7). Each time it just gets better. Kailash Himalaya has been the company I always use and both Kitap & Sarbajit have been my guides over the years. This time my friends and I trekked in Mustang which was marvellous and so different to the Annapurna, Langtang and Everest treks. While Kailash Himalay did a tremendous job again I was a tad disappointed by the fact the government is turning most of the main trekking path into a road. –Fred Allop Perth, Australia

From the moment we were met at the airport Ardash and his team had all areas covered. They made us feel very welcome and safe in Nepal. They had all the Logistics covered to a T and nothing was too much trouble or inconvenience to them.
I had to come down off the mountain due to a ankle injury and they arranged everything from helicopters to the hospital. The teams attention to detail is second to non and would 100% recommend using these guys. I know I certainly will be seeing them again. Thanks guys – Rick Ferns - Britian

" We visited Nepal for a quick 3-day trekking experience and wanted something a bit different but not too strenuous. Coming from the Middle East (direct flight from Muscat) and keen hill-walkers, we were happy to walk and camp in January and relished the adventure it offered. We completed a trek in the Kathmandu valley (Nagakot, Chisapani, Shivapuri) and loved every minute of it, passing through beautiful villages and enjoying the mountain scenery in the distance. All the equipment was provided (including winter sleeping bags) and we were very well looked after by our guide Gopal (?), team of porters and cook throughout the trek; the food was delicious each meal and gave us a real sampling of Nepali cuisine - amazing what can be rustled up with two cast iron hobs and a couple of pans. They could not have been more attentive. We liked our experience it so much we are considering bringing our children (aged 9 and 7) back to explore some more of the region. Thank you team Kailash Himalaya!"
Hope this can be of some use, somewhere.
Best regards
Sarah
