Sikkim: Sikkim is a small Himalayan state of India in the eastern Himalayas surrounded by China and Tibet in the north. Darjeeling: Darjeeling is a famouse hill station which was once colonized by the British.  It lies in norther part of  Indian stare of West Bengal. Also famous for it's natural beauty and vast stretches of lush green tea gardens, and only Himalayan Railway, known to the locals as the Toy Train, is now a world heritage which was listed in by the UNESCO in 1999. Riding on this train almost 88 km is not that faster way to get to Darjeeling from New Jalpaiguri but indeed a life time experience. The railway one the way to Darjeeling at Ghoom (2438m) is one of highest railway station in the world.

Among the major tourist attractions in the Darjeeling city, the most important is the Tiger Hill. It is situated about 2590 m and gives a splendid of the sunrise over Kanchanjunga. Mount Everest, the worlds highest peak is clearly visible from the Tiger Hill. Another important place to  visit in the city is the Rock Garden and Ganga Maya Park. These parks are located about 10 km from the town and have developed into wonderful picnic spot.

The place has a scenic beauty and one can walk down to the Darjeeling Mall from here . Other important places in the city include the Ava Art Gallery, Mall, Batasia loop, Lloyd Botanical Garden, Nightingale park, Darjeeling-Rangit Valley Passenger Cable Car popularly called the ropeway, observatory hills, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the monasteries to name a few. One can also visit places around Darjeeling like Kalimpong, Kurseong, and Mirik.

How to reach...

By Air:  From Kathmandu, take the one hour flight to Bhadrapur (the nearest Nepalese airport to Darjeeling), drive to Kakarvitta (Nepal/Indian boarder 34km), to Silguri (36km) and to Darjeeling (77 km, about 2 ½ hrs drive).

By Road: Darjeeling is also connected by road with Sikkim (120km) and Bhutan (200km). Darjeeling is about 90 km from Bagdogra, the nearest airport, where schedule flights operate from New Delhi, Calcutta and Guwahati

By Rail: The nearest rail heads are Siliguri and New Jalpaiguri (88km) which are connected to Calcutta, New Delhi, Guwahati and other major cities in India.

Day 01: Transfer from hotel to airport for Bhadrapur and proceed by car/coach to Gangtok via Teesta(4 hrs). Overnight at Gangtok.

Day 02: Full day Sightseeing of Tsangu Lake, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok and Tashi view point

Day 03: Sightseeing in Gangtok- visit Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms, Research Institute of Tibetology, Chortens (Stupa), Rumtek Monastery and Botanical Garden. Afternoon- Drive to Darjeeling. Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 04: Sightseeing in Darjeeling-includes Tiger Hill, Batasia Loop, War Memorial, Ghoom Monastery, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Par, Ropeway, Tea Garden (Rangeet valley),etc.

Day 05: After breakfast drive for Bagdogra. Arrive Bagdogra and depart to next destination.
