Affordable tour to Mt. Kailash - fly in / Out from Lhasa - 17 days

Highlight: Your journey starts after arrival in Kathmandu with sightseeing tour of this enigmatic country. We then fly to Lhasa over the spectacular Himalayas. And, spend two full days sightseeing the fascinating land with rich cultural heritage. We travel by the road on the Tibet plateau all the way to the foot of Mt. Kailash. Most of the elevation is more than 3658 meter (12,000 feet). The highest elevation 5400 meter is at Drolma La (pass).  From the plain at Tingri we continue to drive to Saga, Paryang and ultimately to the holy lake of Mansarover (4558m). We walk around (Parikrama) Mt. Kailash and drive back through same road to Saga, Shigatse and back to Lhasa. Despite its barren and dry features the lake and the mountain has magnetic influence to devotees and visitors alike. Your journey to Tibet would be a rewarding and unforgettable experience.

Best time visit: Best time to travel is in summer - from March to October. Overland journey is best from early May to middle of October. This is because of the snow condition in high Himalayan pass in winter and late spring. During monsoon season (July to August) heavy rain can often disrupt the road and highway.
